August at the Crowell Gallery

The Crowell Gallery presents ‘Reflective Works’ by Gerarde (Jay) Ducette.

August at the Crowell Gallery

Gerarde is a graduate of Vesper George School of Art, he studied life drawing at the Copley and attended the Museum School – all in Boston. Gerarde’s work history as an illustrator, visual merchandiser and interior designer is evident in his work. He is now a fulltime painter, instructor, custom framer and fine arts conservator. He has recently been focusing his attention to the decorative arts of the 19th century; i.e. woodgraining, marbleizing, stenciling and trompe l’oeil. His interest is to address his subject with watercolor, arguably a much more difficult medium with little to no forgiveness.

Please join us at the Crowell Gallery, Moore Free Library this August.
Reception with the artist will be August 5th, 1-3 pm.

Hours Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 1-5, Thursday 2-7, Saturday 10-1
