DANIELS HILL ROAD HEARING
SEPTEMBER 24, 2018

OTHERS PRESENT: Jay Wilson, Shannon Meckle, Peter Novick, George Knowles, Maura Shader, Daniel Guadalupe
The site visit commenced at 4:00 p.m. at the bottom of Daniels Hill Road.
Those present reviewed ditching requirements, incline grade, culvert replacements needed, drainage, gravel depth, the angle of the access to Adams Hill Road, and the proposed turn around at the end of the portion of road in question.

CALL TO ORDER
The hearing was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Marion Dowling, Chair.
Went over the agenda, the purpose of the hearing, and the rules of order.
PRESENTATION BY PETITIONERS
Members of the Daniels Hill Association spoke in favor of the town taking over the road, citing various issues, such as emergency vehicle access, ability to get out for work obligations and tax assessments.
PRESENTATION BY TOWN OFFICIALS
Jay Wilson, Road Foreman necessary upgrades and went over the costs associated with maintaining the road, should the town take it over. He also estimated the State Highway Aid that the town would receive for the road.
Shannon Meckle, Administrative Assistant gave information pertaining to Act 250 regulations, historical information of the town being asked to take over the road previously, and the criteria for considering the request.
The Board heard public comment from interested citizens, further information from Town Officials, Doris Knechtel regarding assessment values, and Shannon Meckle regarding Act 250 clarifications.
There was also a period for rebuttal from petitioners.
Marion noted that everyone had been given time to speak and it was time to move on to Deliberative Session. The Board thanked everyone for participating.
A motion was made by Christopher Williams and seconded by Mike Fitzpatrick to go into Deliberative Session. The motion carried unanimously.
A motion was made by Shelly Huber and seconded by Christopher Williams to come out of Deliberative Session at 7:45 p.m. The motion carried unanimously.
A motion was made by Marion Dowling and seconded by Mike Fitzpatrick to adjourn at 7:45 p.m. The carried unanimously.
