TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION: Monday, July 24, through Friday, July 28, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., motorists can expect three traffic control packages with alternating one-way traffic on Vermont Route 30 (VT 30) throughout the project limits.

Delays are expected. Motorists are advised to add extra time to their travel schedule.

Speed limits have been reduced to 40 mph throughout the project limits. Fines are doubled for speeding within the construction zone. Motorists are advised to follow the posted speed limit and travel with caution as there are various roadway surfaces throughout the project limits, including gravel roadway.

Motorists should anticipate adverse road conditions during and after rainfall and should also expect the presence of grading equipment on the road following storm events.

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: Crews will complete intermediate course paving this week, continuing from Dummerston, and moving north to the midpoint of the project near Stickney Brook Rd. Crews will continue fine grading in Dummerston and will reach Newfane early in the week. Crews will also continue the second reclamation pass in Dummerston, near Stickney Brook Road, and continue north. There is potential for crews to conduct berm clean up starting in Brattleboro. All work is weather dependent.

LOCATION: Beginning at Cedar Street (mile marker 0.311) in Brattleboro and extending north for approximately 10 miles to just north of Brook Street (mile marker 1.623) in Newfane on Vermont Route 30.
