TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION: Monday, August 28, through Friday, September 1, between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., motorists can expect multiple traffic control packages with alternating one-way traffic on Vermont Route 30 (VT 30) throughout the project limits.

In observance of Labor Day, crews will be out of the roadway on Friday, September 1, by 12:00 p.m. and will return to the project on Tuesday, September 5, at 7:00 a.m.

Delays are expected. Motorists are advised to add extra time to their travel schedule.

Speed limits have been reduced to 40 mph throughout the project limits. Fines are doubled for speeding within the construction zone. Motorists are advised to follow the posted speed limit and travel with caution as there are various roadway surfaces throughout the project limits, including gravel.

Motorists should anticipate adverse road conditions during and after rainfall and should also expect the presence of grading equipment on the road following storm events.

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: Multiple crews will continue installing guardrail in Brattleboro, working a couple of miles apart, and progressing toward Dummerston. Crews will continue berm removal in Brattleboro. Crews will finish the base course of paving in Newfane, reaching the northern end of the project by the end of the week. All work is weather dependent.

LOCATION: Beginning at Cedar Street (mile marker 0.311) in Brattleboro and extending north for approximately 10 miles to just north of Brook Street (mile marker 1.623) in Newfane on Vermont Route 30.
