
STP 2940(1) [VT Route 30 Resurfacing Project]
TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION: Monday, June 26, through Friday, June 30, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., motorists can expect multiple traffic control packages with alternating one-way traffic on Vermont Route 30 (VT 30) throughout the project limits.
Delays are expected. Motorist are advised to add extra time to their travel schedule.
Speed limits have been reduced to 40 mph throughout the project limits. Fines are doubled for speeding within the construction zone. Motorists are advised to follow the posted speed limit and travel with caution as there are various roadway surfaces throughout the project limits, including gravel roadway.
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: At the beginning of the week crews will finish paving the base course of asphalt. Mid-week, crews will begin paving the intermediate course beginning from the start of the project limits in Brattleboro and continuing north.
Next week, crews will continue first-pass reclamation work in the Town of Dummerston, near Stickney Brook Road, and will progress north towards Newfane. Crews may begin fine grading following behind the reclamation work. Crews may also be on site to complete ledge removal and clean up activities. All work is weather dependent.
LOCATION: Beginning at Cedar Street (mile marker 0.311) in Brattleboro and extending north for approximately 10 miles to just north of Brook Street (mile marker 1.623) in Newfane on Vermont Route 30.
