- Called to order: Meeting was called to order by Katie Bristol at 5:00 p.m.
- Confirm Properly Warned: Confirmed by Avarie Fitzpatrick
- Election of Officers:
- Election of Chair: Cleverly made a motion to elect Katy Johnson-Aplin as Chair, Dowling states she would like to have Todd Lawley. Fitzpatrick seconded. Dowling states she really wanted Lawley. Cleverly and Dowling voted yes. Johnson-Aplin, Fitzpatrick and Lawley obtained. Motion did not pass. Fitzpatrick made a motion for Lawley to be Chair; Dowling seconded the motion. Two yes, two nay, Lawley obtained. Fitzpatrick made a motion, Dowling seconded the motion, 3 yes, one nay, Lawley obtained. Todd Lawley is now the Chair of the Newfane Selectboard.
- Election of Vice-Chair: Cleverly made a motion to appoint Katy Johnson-Aplin, Todd Lawley seconded. 4 members voted yes, Johnson-Aplin obtained. Motion passed. Johnson- Aplin is now the Vice-Chair of the Newfane Selectboard.
- Election of Clerk to the board: Cleverly made a motion to keep it the same with the Administrative Assistant’ being the clerk to the board. Fitzpatrick seconded. Motion passed.
- Meeting Schedule:
- Set a regular meeting day and time: Johnson- Aplin made a motion to leave the meetings the 1st and 3rd Monday at 6:00pm. Fitzpatrick seconded. Motion passed.
- Confirm meeting location: Johnson-Aplin made a motion to have meetings be held at the Newfane Town office, Fitzpatrick seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
- Board of Health, Board of Liquor Control, and Cannabis Control Commission (as needed before or after Selectboard meetings): Cleverly made a motion to continue to have the Board of Health, Liquor Control and Cannabis Control to be held before or after normally scheduled meetings, Fitzpatrick seconded. Motion passed.
- Designations
- Designation of Official Posting Locations for Notices & Minutes: Johnson-Aplin made a motion to keep posting places WW, Town Office, Moore Free Library, Website and Front Porch Forum. Cleverly seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
- Designation of the official newspaper for posting of Notices and Advertisements
- Authorized Payroll & Accounts Payable Procedures: Johnson-Aplin made a motion to allow Town Treasurer to do payroll and AP as need, also payroll prior to Selectboard Meeting then checked over at the next meeting. Cleverly seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
- Signatures of Policies
Personnel Policy, Conflict of Interest Policy, Elected Employee Benefits Policy, Rules of Procedure for Selectboard, and Purchasing Policy were all discussed at prior meetings to any updates or changes which needed to be made. Cleverly made a motion to have the board sign them at the end of the meeting, Fitzpatrick seconded. Motion passed.
- Official Appointments:
Cleverly made a motion to reinstate all the positions below and send letters to each appointed individual. Fitzpatrick seconded. Motion passed. Johnson-Aplin made a motion to have the date of March 25th be added to the letter to get responses on accepting the positions, Cleverly seconded. Motion passed.
Greg Record said that we should check into VLCT about needing or not needed a constable, Lawley says that Melissa Brown reached out to check in on information about that. There was discussion about the change of town meeting location and the future meetings on the change of that. Social Appropriations were also brought up to look into old town meeting votes stating the rules and regulations of the appropriation request.

- Adjourn: Cleverly made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Fitzpatrick seconded. Meeting was adjourned at 5:35 p.m.
