STP 2940(1) [VT Route 30 Reclamation Project]

SPECIAL NOTICE: In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, crews will be off-site Wednesday, November 22, through Friday, November 24.
TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION: Monday, November 20, and Tuesday, November 21, between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., crews will complete work on the shoulder of Vermont Route 30 (VT 30) throughout the project limits.
The speed limit reductions for the project area have been lifted. Motorists are advised to follow the posted speed limit and travel with caution.
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: Crews are anticipated to complete punch list work by today, Friday, November 17. Crews will be on-site early next week to install crosswalk beacons and conduct project clean-up along the roadside throughout the project area.
The Brattleboro-Newfane VT 30 Reclamation Project [Brattleboro-Newfane STP 2940(1)] has reached substantial completion. This is the final Construction Update for the project.
LOCATION: Beginning at Cedar Street (mile marker 0.311) in Brattleboro and extending north for approximately 10 miles to just north of Brook Street (mile marker 1.623) in Newfane on Vermont Route 30.
PROJECTED COMPLETION: Fall 2023

The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) is launching the end-of-project survey for the Brattleboro-Newfane VT 30 Reclamation Project. The project began construction in September 2022 and reached substantial completion in November 2023. The reclamation project consisted of ledge stabilization, two reclamation passes, three courses of asphalt, and the replacement of guardrails, culverts, signage, and more. The project limits began in Brattleboro at the intersection of VT 30 and Cedar Street and extended north for approximately 10 miles along VT 30 through Dummerston to the intersection of VT 30 and Hemlock Hill Road in Newfane.
