The Vermont Agency of Transportation (AOT) is replacing the Depot Road Arch Bridge over Rock River in Newfane.
DATE: June 10, 2022
TRAFFIC IMPACT: The closure of the Depot Road Arch Bridge over Rock River is anticipated to continue through the fall. Detour signs and message boards are in place to direct traffic along the detour (via Grimes Hill Rd and Route 30). Grimes Hill Road and Dover Road (at the intersection with Depot Road) are reduced to one-lane operations managed with signals. Please travel with caution.
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: The contractor, Renaud Brothers, set pre-cast pieces of the new bridge arch this week. Next week, they will continue with grouting the arch pieces and pouring the concrete closure at the arch center joint.
LOCATION: Arch Bridge over Rock River along Depot Road in Newfane
PROJECTED COMPLETION: October 2022
